The Big Shot - By Kingdom Keys

We learned from a news report that the Obama administration is plotting to overthrow Netanyahu in Israel.  I don’t think we have had a President since Israel became a nation in 1948 that has been so hostile to Israel.  In Zechariah 2:8, God said of Israel, “for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.”  So, it appears to me that Obama is poking his finger in God’s eye, so to speak.  There are unpleasant consequences for doing that, just as there would be unpleasant consequences if you went around poking someone in the eye.

Psa 2:12  Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little.  In other words, pay homage to the Son of God.  Love what He loves and hate what He hates.  You don’t take one position after another after another that is contrary to the position of the Son of God without paying a dear price.  Obama may be an arrogant and proud man, which he obviously is.  He may think he has arrived at the highest pinnacle of glory that a man can reach on this earth, but as an old song says there’s a bigger wheel than you.  Here are some of the lyrics to that old song:

If you think that you're a big, big shot
And everything you do is a whiz
Just remember brother that everything you've got
Is not yours, remember it's His.

    There's a big wheel, there's a big wheel
He's a whole lot bigger than you
    There's a big wheel, there's a big wheel
He's a whole lot bigger than me.

Of course, when it’s the leader of the nation, it is a matter than affects us all.  What Obama does as President is representative of the nation, and that is serious.  It’s not just a matter of him invoking the judgment of God on himself.  He is calling for the judgment of God on our nation because the majority of the people elected him to represent them.  Then, in addition to that, you have a nation full of preachers, most of which won’t lift a voice to declare the truth to their congregation regarding the issues of the day.

About 4,000 innocent precious lives of unborn babies were snuffed out today, and 300,000 pulpits are silent.  TV networks make a mockery of Christians and the Christian faith and Christian values in show after show, and 300,000 pulpits are silent.  Christians morality cannot be taught in public school classrooms, prayers can’t be offered at high school football games anymore, Jesus can be dishonored while the Muslim religion is accommodated, and 300,000 pulpits are silent.  Pornography has become an eight billion dollar business, and the Internet is flooded with porn, while 300,000 pulpits are silent. Rock music fills the airways and pollutes our children’s minds with music that legitimizes rape, murder, satanic worship, and other perversion, and 300,000 pulpits are not only silent – many preachers pattern their worship services after the rock music of the world.  The state promotes lotteries that prey on the poor people among us more than anyone else, and 300,000 pulpits are silent.

Put a post up on Facebook about being the salt and light of the earth, and you will likely get numerous responses from “Christians” who chastise you for being judgmental and “unloving”.  Why will they do that?  Simply because they have attended churches that had a silent pulpit on what it means to be salt and light.  Therefore, they have a skewed mindset regarding Christian involvement.  And, the average Christian is a wuss when it comes to standing up for the truth.  But, it’s mainly because 300,000 pulpits have failed to produce anything else.

A lot of things bother me about Barak Obama, but two things (both observed again yesterday in the “healthcare summit”) annoy me to no end.  One is the way he proceeds to lecture everybody else as though he is the person who knows everything, and no one else knows much.  He treats the American people this way, and he even treats people who have been in Congress half his life that way.  He is always talking down to everybody else, it seems to me, and holding his head and displaying body language in an arrogant manner.  Have you noticed that, or am I alone in thinking that?  The Bible says that God hates a proud look, and if Obama doesn’t have that, someone please tell me what a proud look is.

The second thing that annoys me so much is his habit of addressing U.S. Senators by their first name.  He calls Sen. McCain by the name of John, for example.  He calls Sen. Alexander by the name of Lamar.  During the campaign against Sen. Clinton, he constantly addressed her as Hillary.  Other Senators call each other by the title of Senator.  To me, this is a very disrespectful way for Obama to act toward people who are not his subordinates.  Our government divided our system into 3 branches, none of which are inferior to the other branches.  The Senators deserve to be addressed in a respectful manner, just as he is.  It would be rude for a Senator to address him as “Barak”.  They correctly address him as Mr. President.  Why does he get away with this?  I wish one of these guys, in his own Party, would call his hand on this.

I have many preacher friends.  Some of these ministers are people that I consider close friends.  There are few that I address by their first names.  Even my Board members are men whom I have known for years, but never address by their first names.  There are a couple of ministers whose given names I use, but most of the time I address pastors as Pastor Somebody (Pastor Loper, Pastor Nickell, etc.).  Although these men are peers and dear friends, to me, it is a matter of respect for the positions they hold.

Does Barak’s habit bother anyone else besides me?

The President was at the annual National Prayer Breakfast this morning.  This is a President that has no comprehension of what real faith in the living God is.  He actually said today, “God’s grace is expressed by Americans of every faith, and no faith, uniting around a common purpose, a higher purpose.”  What a bunch of canard!  God’s grace is expressed by Americans of NO FAITH, uniting around a higher purpose?  What higher purpose is there than having faith in God?

Obama made sure to make the point at this morning’s prayer breakfast that not everyone believes in God.  While that is true, and not a revelation of something we don’t know, don’t you think it would be better at a “prayer breakfast” to emphasize the fact that most people do believe in God, and that they put a high value on prayer.

This President says he is a Christian and then proceeds to repeatedly take stands on issues that are absolutely anti-Christian, such as his stand on revoking “don’t ask, don’t tell” in the military.  To do that, and to take the position he does on abortion, is to turn away from hearing God’s law.  And, the Bible says in Proverbs 28:9  “He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.”  Perhaps, he didn’t pray while at the prayer breakfast.  But, the principle is the same.  It appears to me that he has committed an abomination to turn away from hearing God’s law and then to attend a national prayer breakfast where he would be honored for his appearance there.

You may say, “Well, Rick, you would have criticized him had he not gone, and you criticize him when he does go.”  I would not argue about that.  I have nothing good to say about a man who has no regard for God’s law, and who at times postures himself as a Christian believer.  If anyone else did that, he would be considered a hypocrite.
